Dengue fever is a viral disease that is transmitted by mosquitoes. While it mostly many infections are mild, it can sometimes lead to severe disease and death. Controlling dengue is mainly done through controlling the mosquito vectors and preventing their breeding sites. Personal protection through mosquito repellant spray and clothing can also help. Early detection and access to proper medical care reduces fatality rates.
Dengue defender is a arcade-style game designed to raise awareness of Dengue and make some of the science behind controlling and prevention simple, interactive and fun. It’s easy to learn and quick to play! You have 1 minute to empty all the water containers while avoid being bitten mosquitoes.
Can you protect your neighbourhood from this deadly disease?
You have one minute to explore the neighbourhood, find and empty the water containers while avoiding being bitten by mosquitoes. You start with 4 health segments. Each mosquito bite removes one segment, so use protection and visit the health centre to gain more health. You can choose your character.
